What are your opinions of the movie? (Tell why you consider the points good or bad)
- The movie was fairly entertaining, its story was different. It is good because viewers cannot predict what would happen next.
- The movie is based on a book entitled Twilight itself, which I read before. But sad to say, the book was way better than the movie.
- I was not able to feel the spark or chemistry between Bella and Edward because the movie lacks sweet scenes.
- The movie missed out most of the scenes found in the book. Though, I understand that it is hard to squeeze a 400-page book into a two hours movie.
- This movie disappointed some of those who read the book. But if you are not able to read the book, you will surely love this movie.
Describe the quality of acting, the directing, and whatever is outstandingly good or bad about the music, the sound effects, and the costume.
The chosen characters were very good in acting; they were able to personify the characters being described in the book. But the directing was not that awesome as I expected. It seems that the movie was rushed. The flow of events was moving rapidly. The music was good. They used mellow music to add intense to some of the scenes. I was able to feel the movie with the help of the background music as well as the sound effects. The costumes were good since this movie didn’t required luxurious costumes. Their costumes help the characters show what is their role in the movie.
Discuss the theme of the film.
The movie focuses on the relationship between Edward and Bella, which goes from awkward glances in biology class to undying, profound love in like a week, and with the whole vampire thing, too. Bella, knowing that Edward is a vampire, would still take any risk and prefer to be with Edward. And the idea of being saved and protected is extremely great and so we look for that in real life. But there’s such no real life person can be compared to Edward. It’s because we are all just humans. In reality, sometimes you will save him and sometimes he will save you and sometimes no one will save anyone but if you care about each other, that’s all that matters.
